Filipino BBQ feat Chef Budgie Montoya: Wed April 17th
In the words of late great Anthony Bourdain "there are few things I love more than pigs roasting and many have claimed Filipino Lechon is the best in world".
In a town where finding places serving truly unapologetic Filipino food feels hard, look no further than Apoy.
On Wednesday April 17th we're heading over to Apoy for a Filipino BBQ feast.
Chef Ferdinand "Budgie" Montoya is a Filipino-Australian head chef of Apoy and has put together a special tasting menu for this event featuring classic Filipino street food.
Expect dishes like Chicken Inasal, Soy Glazed aubergine, Vegetable Lumpia, Coconut kale and Chef Budgie's signature dish: a Whole Rolled Crispy Lechon (pork belly)!
“The Lechon is a combination of aromatic and tenderly soft meat underneath earth shatteringly crispy crackling”- Chef Budgie
